Sophie de Guernon Coaching

Expatriation has always been at the heart of my life.

As an expat for over ten years, having lived in four different countries, I deeply understand both the challenges and the opportunities that come with life abroad. Those moments when we build new lives and recreate our sense of belonging with every move...

Throughout these experiences, I devoted myself fully to my family and our stability... but somewhere along the way, I lost touch with myself.

Little by little, one question kept coming back:
Who am I, beyond being a partner, a mother, and the quiet organizer of our international journey ?

These reflections eventually became the foundation of my work today as an Expat Coach, helping others reconnect with themselves, find balance, and rediscover purpose in their own expatriate journeys.

How I Became an Expat Coach

This identity quest is one I’ve lived from the inside with its doubts, loss of meaning, and deep questioning.
Yet, it is precisely this challenging journey that allowed me to reconnect with my true aspirations: supporting others as they navigate the same transitions.

With 20 years of professional experience, my path has always been driven by one constant passion : to understand, support, and reveal human potential.
After a decade in consulting, first as an employee and later as an entrepreneur, I developed a strong expertise in personal development, leadership, and professional dynamics.

Trained as a Professional Coach by Erickson Coaching International, I chose to specialize as an Expat Coach to offer expatriates and accompanying partners a space for listening, clarity, and transformation, always respecting their own rhythm and uniqueness.

Today, my mission is simple yet powerful:
to help each expatriate regain balance, clarify their direction, and turn their expatriation into a source of lasting fulfillment; not a chapter merely endured, but a journey embraced with empathy and purpose.

My approach combines the methodological rigor of my consulting background with a deeply human, compassionate listening style, focused on both well-being and personal growth.

I truly believe that expatriation can become a springboard, when we take the time to reconnect with what truly matters.

My Coaching Method:
The Clarity & Solutions Process

As an Expat Coach, I guide you through the Clarity & Solutions Process. A structured and personalized coaching approach inspired by my own expatriation journey.

Each coaching program is built on active listening, strategic questioning, and a clear focus on your personal solutions. Helping you gain insight, make aligned decisions, and move forward with confidence.

What makes my approach unique:
I offer a safe, neutral, and action-oriented space where you can regain your direction, rebuild confidence, and transform your expatriation into a truly meaningful and lasting experience.

My Expertise rooted in experience

For more than ten years, I’ve been living expatriation from the inside, across different countries, cultures, and life contexts.

This personal journey has given me a deep understanding of the identity, emotional, and relational challenges faced by both accompanying partners and professionals in global mobility.

Today, as an Expat Coach, my role is to provide a structured, human, and strategic framework for those seeking to regain clarity, purpose, and balance in their life abroad.

I deeply believe that expatriation is not just a parenthesis. It can become a powerful springboard for inner transformation and lasting fulfillment.

A Professional and Human-Centered Approach

As a ACC-certified coach with the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and trained at PCC level by Erickson Coaching International, a school renowned for its rigor, ethical standards, and solution-focused methodology, I’m committed to a coaching practice that is both demanding and deeply responsible.

I continually invest in my own learning to enrich my tools, refine my presence, and ensure the highest quality of support for my clients.

My approach is built around the Clarity & Solutions Process, a structured yet flexible framework I created to guide expatriates and accompanying partners with empathy, precision, and effectiveness.

My clients often describe my coaching as a space where they move forward with gentleness and clarity, without ever feeling directed. But always reconnected to their own power for action.

Unlike more directive or rigid approaches, my method is flexible, personalized, and deeply respectful of your rhythm and individuality.

It is distinguished by a positive, future-focused perspective, emphasizing your internal resources and using solution-oriented, transformational techniques that foster creative and often unconventional breakthroughs.

Through holistic, tailor-made coaching, I help you transform both your professional dynamics and personal balance, not by imposing solutions, but by guiding you to discover your own answers and move forward with confidence and autonomy.

What My Clients Say

“A rare quality of listening, powerful questions, and above all, a space where I finally felt free to focus on myself.”

“I’ve regained confidence, a sense of direction — and I no longer feel alone in my expatriation.”

“In just three months, I’ve made more progress than in two years of trying to figure things out on my own.”

A Few Facts About Me

My suitcase knows borders better than I do

A Multifaceted Journey. I’ve been a consultant, an employee, and a business owner… and today, I’m an Expat Coach.

Four expatriations, two new languages — one learned entirely from scratch — trilingual children… and countless new roots to rebuild with every move.

Through these experiences, I’ve learned to adapt, start over, observe deeply, and support transitions, not only my own.

Today, this wealth of lived experience is at the heart of my work as an Expat Coach: grounded, insightful, and always guided by meaning and purpose.

My journey is as multifaceted as those I support.

I’ve experienced the pressure of targets, endless meetings, and the quiet call of inner transformation.

What I’ve gained from it all is a deep ability to understand profound professional transitions. And to guide those who seek to bring meaning and coherence back into their own paths.

I am deeply honest, kind-hearted, and convinced that life finds its true meaning through genuine connection with others.

My mission? To help with sincerity, presence, and grounded compassion.

For me, being an Expat Coach means creating a space where you can pause, breathe, and allow yourself to be real. So you can move forward again, aligned, centered, and more alive than ever.

What I Deeply Believe

We don’t always choose where we live. But we can always choose to find ourselves along the way.

That’s what I offer as an Expat Coach: a space to pause, breathe, and move forward again with clarity and purpose.
